Kayt's surface recovery

She watched the underling run off to get her things with a smile. Doing something was better than sitting in her room or wandering around passing time until she was told she would be returning to the underdark or sent on a mission. She was never a patient one and never hid that fact, what was the point after all? Raising arms over her head she bent them at the elbow, one hand holding the other elbow so she stretched muscles that hadn’t been used in weeks. The action caused a wince.

Still stretching her arms she walked to the table behind him and then leaned against it “And I can attest to how fun that is. Does the mist put you to sleep or was that someone else?” the question was more of a thought as she remembered her own time in the mist. Removing the robe she tossed it on the table, waiting for the underling to return. Her chest was bandaged so it wasn’t like she was completely exposed, not that it would matter either way. She had no interest in any of the men here and if any of them had any in her they were wise enough to keep it to themselves as well as their eyes. Her hands rubbed at her neck and she frowned “Damn.” She muttered. Turning she looked at Ti’Then “Will you make a knife for me? Just for a minute, need something to pull my hair up.” she said knowing his first instinct would probably be to say no.

Ti'then lifted the amulet around his neck up to eye level, "You lose all sense of direction without having one of these. They will tread the same hundred yards of sand for hours until we chose to interrupt them."

At her question, a three inch single edged knife of dull grey iron formed in his hand, and he offered it to her.

She looked at the amulet and he would see it. The instant she began the thought: if only I’d known that when I tried to escape. The shock she received from the thought showed in her eyes, the sudden firm set of her jaw, and how she shifted her weight to the opposite leg. When it was over she smirked and relaxed “This should be fun.” So she wasn’t completely ‘reformed’ yet.

Turning fully to face the table she took the offered knife and then cut a thin strip of cloth from part of the bottom of the robe. How such a little thing could hold back the mass of her thick hair was a mystery. It was soon solved when she handed the knife back and then ran fingers through her hair and started making a quick simple braid. Something to do while they waited

As soon as the knife touched Ti'then's fingertips it vanished and he turned and walked to the other side of the drill square where five riders with two extra horses were approaching. At the same time the green fur covered underling was running back with clothes for Kayt as well as her sword. Ti'then took one of the horses and sprung into the saddle, then looked to the five warriors. Each was dressed in a similar fashion to Ti'then, and each carried no weapons but was far from unarmed.
