Into the street through the crowd the small thing wandered, milling at her own pace through a throng of scavengers and sellers and hawkeyes.. her hand dropping to smooth against the flap of her beaten, leather purse to check its latch was still shut. The streets were dark and ill lit, the ground itself pocked by holes and ditches and refuse from a poor dilligence on behalf the city.

Things had changed, here, and quietly she ducked into a tavern, for some reprieve from the wild animations of many strangers and noises outside.

Lavender eyes begin to search over the walls, at stag, bear and tiger heads mounted. It wasn't the same here. Fiercer. Hotter. Even a little more frightening. She turns and walks for a center stool to order a gin-bit lemonade, while letting pale gaze drift along the people nearby..
