The air still and silent, not even a wisp of breath could be felt. The area had been long silent for many passing ages, the passing of five years to most, but centuries to the old Ancient Library. The only light that shown was from the moon slowly slipping through the eternal night sky, its rays glowing upon the tomb stones that have rested in peace for countless ages, casting their reflection within the dead world.

The books upon shelves sleeping their deep slumber, waiting once more for their sheltered words to be read once again. After the passing centuries, a stir finally emerges through the stillness. What appears to be a wave of tender energy creeping through the very boundaries of the realm, and in front of where the cold fireplace sleeps, a figure starts to form and solidify.

In the awakening from his presence, the fireplace embers into life once again, and casting its comforting heat into the massive chamber. The Ancient Library’s energies waking from their long dormancy, revitalized from the very presence of the lone figure.

Valex stands their with his eyes closed, his senses pouring forth into the very realm, studying it and listening to what it has to say to him. A soft smile formed upon his lips as he listened with his senses, knowing that all was as they had left it. Yes, they were finally home, home which held so many memories and passing moments which they had shared.

It has been a very long time since he and his wife Losina, and their daughter Isabella were here last. They had spent the past five years away from here, living within a different realm. Their lives had transpired many events and trials for them and their family. One thing they all ached for during this passing time was for when they finally returned home, now the time had finally come.

Valex knew that in just a moment his wife would arrive with their daughter, him coming through first just to see if everything is alright. He also knew that she wanted to make sure things were all set and ready for them to, not wanting to forget about anything that needed attention first.

He smiled again thinking back to his family who would be here real soon. Life in the other realm was indeed different for them, but it was spending time with them that caused his heart to grow even more for them. Isabella was also becoming such a big girl, now appearing as though she were just six years old. Valex closed his eyes to guide the energies of their home to ready Isabella’s room first, then their room.

Stepping Through

Losina waited till she knew that Valex had stepped through the portal in all was well back in their home. With their daughter Isabellas' hand within her own, theu both stepped though. First to come forth was the ruch brugandy color of Losinas gown, Her right foot then her left, she smiled to herself as she felt Isabellas hand clutch just a little tighter, afterall she was still getting used to traveling in this fashion as her parents were quite accustomed too. Seeing Valex standing there in front of the large cushioned couch, she felt her daughters hand release itself from hers and to her father Isabell ran. *Daddy! daddy! that was wonderful! Can we do it again?!* her voice was cute and excited as her father reached down to catch the rushing and excited child..Losina stood there watching them together, it has been quite a long time since she had seen their home..their private sanctuary from the hostile and chaotic world they have been living in..*Hunny..Its good to be home isn't it?* she commented as she now removed her warm long coat from her shoulders.
He carried Isabella around the Library, showing her all the wonderful books filled with stories of long ago, spells that had been used by wizards and creatures they had come across in the years they were here..A warm smile formed upon Losinas lips as she now gathered all their coats and headed towards the hallway..Hearing the quiet conversation between her husband and daughter gave a quiet comfort to her as she peeked into all the rooms she passed, making sure each one had been set up and well furnished for its occupant..*I think a light lavender paint and some hues of blue would give a nice touch to her room..* she thought to herself, *I better remember to mention this later to him.
As Losina disappeared into their main room she called out to Valex..*not oo late she has to get to bed..And keep your tales of those dragons and vampires to a limit!..You know what I mean..less detail, don't want her having nightmares about those humans and hunters either!* Losinas tone was firm, but Valex would know that she had a slight teasing tone in that statement too..
The warmth of the fire would fill the entire home, a quiet hum outside from the running brook just beyond the cometary..She stood there by the large window gazing out..*Ahh so beautiful..its been much too long, much too long* her voice was quiet as she reached up and unlatched the window aloowing in the chilly night air..We will rest well and long into the next night my sweets,,she sent to both Valex and Isabella. She changed into her long night clothes, then reached behind her and braided her long black hair, walking towards the door she shook her head still hearing the chuckles from her husband and sweet giggling of their daughter..*You know* she said with a sigh as she headed back out to them in the main Library..*Sometimes I think I have 2 children instead of just One!* she raised a slight brow to Valex as he'd turn around, daughter within his arm, and that smirky sneaky and yet that shocked facial expression of..*Who Me???!*..this brought a warm feeling to all of them, their daughter would giggle and laugh at her father knowing that her mother was scolding him, and it was all in good fun...*Come now you two..we have just a few hours before th rise of the sun..into bed with us,,Now!*..she eyed them both trying to give her stern look of a mother, but her smirky smile would come through and now, Losina slid her left arm wrapped around his right arm while he carried their daughter within his left. Together they headed down the hallway snuggling together, happy to be home, happy to be together and the sweet dreams awaiting all three of them soon...

Valex’s smile warmed deeply as he felt both his wife and their daughter Isabella step forth through the portal. He turned to see them both. His smile is for the two very precious ladies in his life. The look in eyes as he gazed toward her, showing her once again all the love that burned within his entire being for her and their daughter. He heard and saw Isabella as she called to him, and running directly into his awaiting arms. He rubbed his nose playfully upon her own, causing her giggles to start once again. Valex responded to the tiny child’s query about the portal. He responded back to her, “We will very soon little one, but lets just enjoy being home once again.”

Valex heard and listened to his wife’s words before replying back with happiness and content within his voice, “Yes it is very good to be home. Home at last with my two beautiful women.” He blew her a soft kiss before taking their daughter on a tour of the library, telling her about all the stories, histories, and magic that laid within the books which now start to sing of the very words within their covers.

He chuckled softly with a wink toward Isabella upon Losina’s words about the stories. He could not help it, and chose not to help it. He was happy, and he loved telling her the many stories of the many realms that they have traveled. He responded playfully back to his wife, “I think she enjoys those dreams of the hunters and humans. They are probably running away from her within her sweet head.” He ruffles Isabella’s hair playfully as he spoke, the joking manner within his voice. He knew very well what his wife meant, but it did not mean that he still could not have his fun with them. He continued to carry their daughter within his arms, walking through the main chamber of the library, still telling the sweet child of the many adventures that remain hidden, waiting to be discovered and explored, and the many mysteries and awaiting travels that wait ahead for them all.

A few moments later as Losina made her way through their home and giving it her inspection, and her memories drifting of times passed here. Valex and Isabella heard her soft words to them about their long awaited rest. They both smiled and nodded to each other agreeing to her words. A moment later they continued on their tour, chuckling and giggling along the way. He did hear her playful scolding about two children. Well he did enjoy being childlike especially with them. After he responded back to her in his playful innocence, briefly sticking his tongue out toward her, then busting into a soft laughter with their daughter.

He took Losina’s arm within his own and now Isabella carried within his left, making their way down the hallway toward the rooms. As they left the main chamber of the library, the fire decreased its flames to a soft glow, giving its flickering lights a playful dance upon the library walls.

When the three of them reached Isabella’s room, he gently laid her down within her crib and covering her gently with her blanket. Within moments of her lying down, Isabella was soon dreaming the sweet dreams of children. He brushed her hair gently within his hand and both telling her sweet dreams. He rose and turned toward his loving wife, looking deeply into her eyes as he pulled her into his arms, holding her within his embrace. He nodded to her as words were not needing to be said, only speaking the words that she so familiarly heard from him, “I love you.” Valex gave soft kiss upon her lips before him leading the way to the bed that awaited them and their coming slumber of peace.

Finally home once again, yes it was great to be home with them both. Deep within his mind he knew of what would be coming, but that would have to wait to be thought about later, right now was time for them to enjoy this peaceful moment together.
